  • All competitors must be entered by 1st March 2026 5PM AEST. Late entries are not accepted
  • Competitors must enter within their levels age ranges listed below:
  • Level 1: 7-10yrs
  • Level 2: 11-12yrs
  • Level 3: 13-14 yrs
  • Level 4: 15-20yrs
  • All competitors must enter the correct level according to their age on the 1st day of CDS, 11th April 2026 (contemporary), 13th April 2026 (ballet)
  • Once an entry has been secured, there are no refunds, changes of mind or alterations to levels. 
  • All competitors understand and agree that they may withdraw from the competition at any time should they need to. Once a withdrawal is made and confirmed they will not be able to enter again under that entry and will need to re register and purchase a new entry
  • There is no refund on a withdrawal, all withdrawals must be submitted in writing to cds@claudiadeanworld.com
  • If a competitor is injured and unable to continue, they may be withdrawn. No refunds will apply. 
  • Should a dancer's details be found incorrect at registration or during the course of competition, the dancer is disqualified
  • CDS is designed for all genders
  • Teachers, parents, or guardians are not permitted backstage unless otherwise instructed by CDS staff
  • Claudia Dean World accept no responsibility for personal injury, property damage, or loss sustained during or in connection with CDS
  • All judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence, negotiation, or discussions will be entered into. Claudia Dean World has no discussion with the judges and is completely removed from the judges decisions.
  • Feedback will be distributed digitally after the event and will be distributed within 30 days of the event 
  • Upon completion of your entry, you will automatically receive all details of the event for your level
  • For all daily registrations, please arrive on time as our event is running according to schedule
  • We cannot take any entries on the event day. All entries must be placed before 1st March 2026 5PM AEST
  • All competitors understand and agree that CD Scholarships & Claudia Dean World reserves the right to use any photo/videos of the event and any action during the day for advertising purposes 
  • Any awards offered by affiliate schools are at the discretion of the school

By submitting an entry, all competitors and their guardians agree to the terms and conditions outlined above. CDS reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule, judges, or format at any time. Any updates will be communicated via the contact details provided at registration.

All level winners eligible for prize money must follow the instructions provided in the document accompanying their award. Please note, cash prizes will be transferred to the nominated bank account within 45 days following the conclusion of CDS.

CDS Competitor Requirements (Classical Division):

  • All competitors are required to attend the full 4 day experience of CDS (Classical Division) 
  • All competitors must complete the judged open ballet class on stage in their level on 13th April.
  • All competitors need to prepare x1 classical ballet variation from our variation selection list according to their age level, performed on 14th April.
  • All competitors should be prepared to perform their variation additionally on finals day (16th April) if they are selected as a Top 24 finalist & a Top 8 finalist in their level.
  • All dancers must be present on stage for ‘Top 24 & Top 8 announcement on stage’ for their level on 16th April (see event schedule).
  • Your variation music is provided for you and available to listen via claudiadeanworld.com.
  • If you require to change your variation, please email cds@claudiadeanworld.com & we will assist in swapping your variation.
  • Teachers may slightly alter & modify the variation choreography to suit the age and ability of the individual dancer.
  • You must dance the variation confirmed at registration on 13th April.

CDS Competitor Requirements (Contemporary Division):

  • All competitors are required to attend the full 2 day experience of CDS (Contemporary Division)
  • All competitors must complete the judged contemporary class on stage in their level on 11th April.
  • All competitors need to prepare x1 contemporary solo, performed on 11th April.
  • All competitors should be prepared to perform their solo additionally on finals day (12th April) if they are selected as a Top 8 finalist in their level.
  • All dancers must be present on stage for ‘Top 8 announcement on stage’ for their level on 12th April (see event schedule).
  • Please email your contemporary solo music to cds@claudiadeanworld.com by the 1st March 2026
  • No solo music changes are permitted once the CDS event has commenced.

Attire required for CDS (Classical Division):

  • Once competitors are registered for the day, our CDW Team will be escorting all competitors to & from the stage/backstage/warmup areas.
  • Any coloured leotard is welcome for CDS.
  • No skirts allowed for class selections on 13th April.
  • Dancers are permitted to wear bun/hair decorations during the class & variation selections.
  • Dancers can choose to wear a stage costume or matching leotard + skirt for variation/finals selections on 14th April & 16th April.
  • Please arrive with full hair & makeup on all days of CDS.For variation selections, flat shoes required for L1 & L2.
  • For variation selections, flat shoes or pointe shoes optional for L3 & L4
  • For class selections, only flat shoes required for all levels.

Attire required for CDS (Contemporary Division):

  • Once competitors are registered for the day, our CDW Team will be escorting all competitors to & from the stage/backstage/warmup areas.
  • Dancers are to wear leotard & black tights for the contemporary Judged class on 11th April & Awards Masterclass on 12th April
  • Dancers are permitted to wear their hair in a bun/ponytail for the Judged class & Awards Masterclass
  • Dancers can choose to wear a stage costume or leotard for variation/finals selections on 14th April & 16th April.
  • Please arrive with full hair & makeup on all days of CDS.
