At CDS, every dancer is given the unique and empowering opportunity to perform their chosen variation, which is a rare experience in the competition world.
In 2026, we’re thrilled to introduce the ‘Top 24 Semi Finals’, an exciting new semi-final round where selected dancers will have the opportunity to perform their variation once more before the final Top 8 are chosen.
Every dancer will take class with our esteemed judges and talent scouts, receiving personalised feedback and corrections on their variation, while gaining the invaluable opportunity to be scouted for future training or professional pathways.
We are proud to partner with prestigious schools around the world to offer exclusive opportunities for exceptional dancers, selected at the discretion of each organisation. In 2025, 10 training opportunities were awarded, empowering talented dancers to take the next step in a professional journey.

Day 1 - Judged Classes with Claudia
Experience a class on stage with Claudia while being assessed by our panel of Judges.
Day 2 - Variations Day
All Competitors perform their chosen classical variation to be selected as semi-finalists, finalists, and then win prizes.
Day 3 - Awards Masterclasses with the Judges
Dancers take part in exclusive masterclasses taught by our Judges, where they receive written feedback from Judges and be scouted for future training opportunities at our partnered institutions.
Day 4 - Finals Day
The Top 24 Semi Finals and Top 8 Finals take the stage in our prestigious Finals, alongside:

In celebration of Claudia’s greatest supporter and dance teacher, this award winner will win a 2026 Masterclasses entry to support their ongoing training & development.
Claudia Dean will personally select the winner who demonstrates great potential, awarding them a $500 AUD CDW Gift Card.
During the Top 8 finals performance at each level, the audience will have the chance to vote for their favourite finalist via QR code. The finalist with the most votes will be awarded a Harlequin Dance Kit, proudly sponsored by Harlequin Floors.
